Former Zambian President Chiluba dies

LUSAKA, Zambia – Former Zambian President, Dr Fredrick Chiluba has died.

He was 68.

Dr. Chiluba died of a heart attack early today at his home in Kabulonga, Zambia.

\r\n

His spokesperson, Emmanuel Mwamba said Dr. Chiluba was with his lawyers for the greater part of yesterday and only fell ill in the evening.

\r\n

The Zambian National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) also confirmed Dr Chiluba had a normal day yesterday.
Chiluba ruled Zambia from 1991 to 2001.
