The new hub was installed in partnership with Blue Sat Access, a wholly owned Zimbabwean Internet service provider. Gilat Satcom is targeting enterprise and government markets, including banks, education facilities, healthcare providers and business enterprises.
Gilat also said that it would promote the services to independent TV channels, DTT operators, DTH operators and cellular operators.
“The launch of this new hub in Zimbabwe enables us to provide complete communication solutions, from broadband connectivity to triple-play, in Zimbabwe and the region, mixing satellite and fiber applications seamlessly.
Domestic and international customers will enjoy the new world-class services with our immediate, local support,” Gilat Satcom Zimbabwe Managing Director Moshe Rint said in a statement. – Satellite Today
