Canada deports Zimbabwean credit card trick-star
TORONTO, Canada – Canadian police has deported a 39 year old Zimbabwean man Christopher Dzvairo, after he was caught in a police sting operation carrying out credit card fraud.\r\n
Christopher Dzvairo, 39, was convicted of fraud relating to stolen credit cards being used to swindle two businesses in Mississauga, near Toronto.
Dzvairo, 39, and a 32-year-old man were arrested after Niagara Regional Police were contacted by officials from a building supply company in St. Catharines who were suspicious about an order they had received by fax, back in 2008.
Police asked the company to proceed with the transaction after discovering the owner of the credit card had not placed the order.
The goods were delivered to an empty building, where police were waiting. A man who accepted delivery of the goods was arrested at the scene. A second man was arrested nearby.
Dzvairo was recently convicted of fraud in the matter and ordered deported to Zimbabwe. The other man was given an absolute discharge by the courts.
