Paul Mangwana's company faces eviction

Harare, -Zanu (PF) co-chair of the Parliamentary Committee spearheading Zimbabwe's new Constitution (Copac) Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana faces eviction from his personal offices he rents from the National Railways of Zimbabwe Pension Fund in Harare.

Property lawyers for the Pension Fund, Gill, Godlonton and Gerrans, said in papers filed with the High Court in Harare that Mangwana, a co-chair of the Parliamentary Committee for Zimbabwe’s new constitution owed about US$32 755 in rent arrears and was refusing to vacate the premises.

“The defendant (Mangwana) has failed to pay rent and operating costs for the period between March and November 2010 thereby incurring arrears amounting to US$32 754.96 as at 17 November."

“As a result of the defendant’s refusal to vacate the premises, the plaintiff is suffering and will continue to suffer," noted the lawyers.

Efforts by Radio VOP to get a comment from Paul Mangwana were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.
