The rapper turned movie star reportedly first heard the catchy ‘electro tropical’ tune while on a recent trip to Colombia, and approached the band to see if they wanted to do a collaboration.

Rumors of a potential link-up first sparked when he posted a picture with them on his Facebook page last month, shortly after they landed a number of Latin Grammy nominations.

Smith – who has sold 20million albums to date – hasn’t released a record since 2005’s Lost And Found album.

And despite Eminem previously insisting that ‘Will Smith don’t gotta cuss in his raps to sell records’ – ‘the Fresh One’ even drops a sneaky ‘sh*t’ into his verse.

\n

‘When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn’t believe it,’ said Bomba Estéreo’s founder and multi-instrumentalist Simón Mejia.

\n

‘This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of. It’s not a traditional featuring – it’s just magic.
