Then why doesn’t he see the writing on the wall? Zimbabwe will not get the help it desperately needs if he doesn’t abide by the peace agreement with the MDC and stop murdering his own people. He is a ruthless killer who has brutalised his own people for political gain. This is a fact. There is no other option Mr Mugabe. The west holds all the aces. You can scream, insult and call all the western leaders names, but that will not change the situation on the ground. The fact is the Zimbabwean people are suffering. How can the greed and political agenda of one man be allowed to squander the rights of a people?
Zimbabwe, you should not allow this. When a man does not have respect for the rule of law or decisions taken by the courts of Zimbabwe, he is just unfit to rule. You are a people who have tasted suffering for far too long. Stand up and demand an end to this dictator’s madness and reclaim your beautiful country. Mugabe is determined to hold on to power. You should be determined to stop him. The entire Zimbabwean ZANU-PF machinery cannot stop the will of the people. The thugs and militia of ZANU-PF cannot stop you. No amount of pressure from Mugabe or his military stooges can stop you. You are the people of Zimbabwe. Your country is not owned by one man.
The western countries are determined not to bend one iota. Mugabe must leave the political scene for Zimbabwe to stand on its feet again. It is rather pathetic to see and hear some of Mugabe’s cabinet colleagues defending a mad man who has destroyed their country. Where is political sanity? Are these men aware that once Mugabe departs, they will be called to account? They should learn from the demise of other dictators across Africa. This is a man who seized white-owned farms and handed them out to his cronies with no agricultural skills, finance or equipment or even title deeds. This act ultimately wrecked commercial agriculture in Zimbabwe.
He unleashed violence against his political opponents which frightened tourists away. He forced mining companies to abandon exploration and investment by seizing 51% of their shares. He instructed the Reserve Bank to simply print trillions of Zimbabwean dollars to keep him afloat and this resulted in soaring inflation and currency depreciation.
Mugabe should know that he is ruling without a mandate. He has only 25% support in Zimbabwe. That does not reflect popularity. The people elected and voted in large numbers for change. A change that would have seen Morgan Tsvangirai elected President. Mugabe stole the elections. This man has no shame. His greed and thirst for power has destroyed any semblance of moral sanity in him. We do have a medical problem here, No man in his right senses would take his people down the road of intolerable suffering. But Mugabe is just a man. He can be stopped indeed. There are those who can stop him. And they should do so in the name of the people. The people want change. They want an end to this political nightmare which has made them even poorer.
The western governments are prepared to help Zimbabwe get back on its feet. They will not do so unless Mugabe is removed from the political landscape of Zimbabwe. The people should rise up peacefully and demand an end to Mugabe’s rule. The world will be watching. The world would support any peaceful protest and Mugabe knows when that happens, he has no choice but to depart. ZANU-PF or MDC, whatever political affiliations you have, it really doesn’t matter. You are all victims of this mad man’s determination to use any means at his disposal to stay in power. Don’t be fooled by his rhetoric. You should know by now that none of his rhetoric has produced anything fruitful.
The people will continue to suffer if they don’t stand up and stop this man. He is not prepared to hand over power with benignity and respect. He is a dictator, and dictators have a tendency to cling on to power come what may. Dictators only look after their own interests and the interests of those who support their maniacal political agenda. (News Time Africa)
