Man arrested on suspicion of murdering Zimbabwean

The 36-year-old man, from Slough, was arrested in Maidenhead at about 10.30am today (Wednesday). He is expected to be interviewed by detectives later this afternoon.

Mr Munjanja, affectionately known by his friends as ‘Terry’, was stabbed during an altercation in Bradley Road at approximately 10pm on Saturday night.

Detectives currently believe he died of injuries received during an altercation. The ambulance service informed Thames Valley Police of the incident at 10.28pm on Saturday night after paramedics were called to an address in Bradley Road, Baylis.

Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation. Det Chf Insp Mick Saunders, who is leading the probe, said: "This appears to have been an entirely pointless loss of life and we are following one distinct line of inquiry to trace a named individual involved in the altercation on Saturday evening

The Zimbabwean national was rushed to Wexham Park Hospital where he died from his injuries.

A post mortem determined the cause of death as haemorrhage due to a stab wound to the stomach.

Sources said the argument was fuelled by the result of a footballl match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
