ZSE closes weaker

HARARE-The equities market fell by a marginal 0,01 percent to close at 152.96 following today’s trades as volumes continue to be thin.

African Sun slipped 7,41 percent to 2,5 cents, while Mashonaland Holdings lost 3 percent to 2,91 cents. Telecoms giant Econet maintained a downward form, losing 2,51 percent to 45 cents, as another giant, retailer OK Zimbabwe dropped 1,1 percent to 9 cents.

On the upside, only two counters were involved. Conglomerate Innscor and cement producer PPC were up 1,65 percent to 61c and 0,01 percent to 123,01 cents ,respectively

Although volumes were generally thin, they were buttressed by trades in PPC, Mash and Econet, pushing the value of trades to $330 871.

The mining index closed unchanged at 44.45. – BH24
