Musicians celebrate May Day

With workers across the country celebrating their day today, several musicians have lined up gigs to entertain people on May Day as they celebrate their success that has come through hard work. Tonight Peter Moyo who is in the studio preparing his second album will be sharing stage with Allan Chimbetu at Mushandirapamwe Hotel.

Tomorrow he will be performing in Karoi at Chikangwe Tarven before taking his act to Kwekwe for a family show with Alick Macheso and Jah Prayzah on Sunday.

The musician’s manager Sukol Dube said they were preparing their album and they are sampling some of the songs on their shows.

“These shows gives us experience and this weekend we are sharing stage with musicians who have worked to assist Moyo,” he said.

Dancehall musician Killer T will launch his debut album at Mbare Netball Complex tomorrow and several musicians are expected to grace the launch.

On Sunday Leonard Zhakata will be sharing stage with Mathias Mhere at Zebra Village in Mbare. Both camps promised to give their best on the shows.

In Gweru music lovers are spoilt for a choice as there are two major events. At Midlands State University students will be battling for a beauty pageant Miss MSU that will see several musicians performing.

Dancehall musicians Seh Calaz, Ricky Fire, Terminator, Lady Squander and Jah Child will be performing at the event.
