Zora music star Leonard Zhakata will tonight stage a show at Club Las Vegas in Southerton.

The musician has been outstanding at his recent live shows and organisers said they decided to bring him to their venue to give their patrons a night to remember.

Zhakata has been consistent with his shows in and outside Harare and he is slowly winning back his fans after years of low-key performances in the sector.

Last year was Zhakata’s comeback time after he scooped several awards for his album “Zvangu Zvaita”.

He won the Outstanding Song award at Zimbabwe Music Awards while he had three songs in the top 10 of Radio Zimbabwe Coca-Cola Top 50 chart for 2014.

Recently, he staged a good show with Suluman Chimbetu in Gweru and fans in the Midlands capital have been reportedly calling for his return. Zhakata said he owes his current success to God.

“God has been doing wonders for us. We are happy that fans have been coming to support us at most of our shows and we know our success is because of this success. It is a blessing to have people appreciating your work and we thank our fans for that,” he said.

“We are happy to go to Las Vegas for our Friday show. We have had shows in most parts of the capital and fans always come to support us. We invite them to be with us at Club Las Vegas for another exciting night.”

Manager of Club Las Vegas Yasin Dhala said they are happy to host Zhakata after a series of big shows.

“We have hosted Alick Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah and we are happy to bring Zhakata to the stage. He is doing well and we know he will do well at the show as well.”
