Tobacco sales at Boka Tobacco Auction Floors have been temporarily suspended today following demonstrations by farmers over low prices.

Farmers slammed the $3, 50 per kilogramme purchase price for the first bale compared to last year’s $4,85.

Sales at Boka Tobacco Auction Floors were scheduled to officially mark the opening of the tobacco selling season.
