Ms Khupe told a women’s gathering at a luncheon organised by "Thombizokholo" – a local company that is exhibiting at the ongoing Zimbabwe international trade fair in Bulawayo.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said women should seize the opportunities that arise from the inclusive government and added that women, especially from the Matebeleland region, have a tendency of adopting a wait-and-see attitude which causes them to lose out on opportunities and such behaviour should be corrected immediately.

Women were also called upon to move away from being small-scale business operators to become big producers in the business industry.

Ms Khupe added that her office operates on an open-door policy and people should not fear coming to her office with suggestions and complaints for the improvement of the country.
