In a telephone interview with newsnet, Zimtrade CEO, Mr. Herbert Chakanyuka, said the organisation is interested in imparting export marketing knowledge to both new and old exporters for the purposes of regional trade.

Mr. Chakanyuka said the programme comprises of seven modules that cover export marketing, planning, financing, documentation, negotiation, promotion agreements and research.

He urged exporters to prepare for stiffer import competition as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) launches its customs union later this year.

This year’s edition of the ZITF is expected to start from April 28th to May 2nd under the theme, "Golden Platform For Dynamic Take-off".
