BISHOP LAZARUS: Is it Joice who let the dogs out?..Tell me I am in Paris

Let me try and localise what I am talking about here. If any local newspaper were to publish a cartoon defaming and offending Apostle Ezekiel Guti, Prophet Makandiwa, Prophet Angel, Prophet Magaya, Bishop Wutaunashe, Bishop Lazarus, Reverend Samuel Mutendi or Arch Bishop Paul Mwazha what would their followers do?

\n

JUST a quick one before the sermon starts. Will former VP Joice Mujuru stop these old madalas – Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo from soiling her legacy? You see, Joice is not exactly a bad person. She just cant keep her dogs in the kennel. Now the old dogs are barking all over the place.

\n

Reports say since she joined the liberation struggle as a little girl from Mt Darwin, the former VP has never been a hostage of sellouts and former Rhodesian spies. Why is she letting these merchants of destruction tarnish her liberation credentials?

\n

Since these old madalas went beserck a few weeks ago, the former VP has tried to distance herself from them but truth is she has done a shoddy job in doing do. She has also tried to behave like a true soldier who respects her commander by not openly attacking the President but again, her silence is confirming many things. I wont talk about those useless statements she has published in the private press because they did nothing but expose many of her weaknesses.

\n

Now as the two old madalas continue barking in the dark, people are asking: “Could it be Joice who let the dogs out?” Soon the miniskirt will show all the details. Watch the space!

\n

Bear with me dear reader, I am going to take you away from the former VP to some land far, far away where whats happening there has been burning my heart as a Bishop.

\n

You see, as a Bishop, matters of faith and religion to me are just too sacrosanct and anybody who recklessly trespasses into this no-go area for whatever reason, should be prepared to see me throwing away the rob.

\n

Am sure by now you have heard or read about the Islamist gunmen who killed 17 people in the French capital, Paris. Of these 17 who were gunned down as the Al-Qaeda-linked Islamists went on rampage, 12 worked at some obscure magazine Charlie Hebdo which had published cartoons of Prophet Muhammad that were viewed by Moslems as offending their revered leader.

\n

Suddenly the story about the missing AirAsia Flight 8501 which had about 162 people on board dissappeared from the imperialist media that some call the international media. All camera eyes zoomed on Paris and the deaths of the 17 people appeared more important than the deaths of 162 people.

\n

Disgusting isn’t it? Wait a minute dear reader. What is really disgusting is that as the imperialist media made the world to mourn the 17 people, closer home in Nigeria, Boko Haram was wreaking havoc killing about 2 000 people and displacing over 30 000 from the Baga village.

\n

Can you imagine this massacre in Nigeria was not a big story at all? Infact for the CNN, the story about the Oscars was far much better than the horror in Nigeria.

\n

Genesis 1 vs 27 say: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

\n

I can tell you dear reader that there was never a white image of God and a black image of God. The image of God was and is but just one.

\n

Galatians 3 vs 28 hammers the point home saying: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

\n

My heart bleeds children of God. Why is the imperialist media playing God?

\n

And while still at it, I think the survivors of the attack at Charlie Hebdo stretched the mourning of their departed colleagues too far.

\n

While as a Bishop I am totally against a fellow human being killing another, I think the decision after the attack to publish another cartoon of Prophet Muhammad was taking freedom of speech to suicidal levels.

\n

The magazine published a cartoon of the Prophet weeping while holding a sign saying “I am Charlie.”

\n

This is recklessness and stupidity of the highest order if you ask me.

\n

Serious provocation which was unwarranted. The lack of respect for other people’s religion was just too shocking. I am a Bishop and I know exactly what I am talking about.

\n

Fortunately, there were so many voices of reason out there who spoke strongly against the decision. Pope Francis took the lead speaking out his mind. “You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit to freedom of speech.”

\n

Not surprisingly, Moslems around the world are speaking out and reports say in Niger two churches were burnt as people protested against the magazine’s cartoon of Prophet Muhammad.

\n

What on earth were the editors at Charlie Hebdo trying to do by continuing to offend Moslems around the world? If they are targeted once again by the ever-growing Islamists should anyone shed a tear? Is freedom of speech more important than one’s religion and faith?

\n

Let me try and localise what I am talking about here. If any local newspaper were to publish a cartoon defaming and offending Apostle Ezekiel Guti, Prophet Makandiwa, Prophet Angel, Prophet Magaya, Bishop Wutaunashe, Bishop Lazarus, Reverend Samuel Mutendi or Arch Bishop Paul Mwazha what would their followers do?

\n

If dear reader you are still grappling for an answer, let me assist you a bit. Do you still remember what happened in May last year when police visited Johanne Masowe eChishanu shrine in Budiriro? All I can tell you is that the church leader, Madzibaba Ishmael’s case is still at the courts.

\n

Issues to do with religion and faith have to be treated with serious caution and restraint.

\n

Never insult this Bishop. Of course my followers know that there is no one worth killing or dying for.

\n

Bishop is out!
