FC Platinum begin African safari preps

    Zimbabwe’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, FC Platinum have started camp in preparation for the continental competition.

    \nClub spokesperson, Chido Chizondo said training will begin this Friday.

    \n

    “Everyone else is now in camp save for Aroon Katebe who will join later. Training begins tomorrow and the team will have a meeting on Saturday to deliberate on where we will be playing our CAF Confederation Cup matches and to set the targets on what stage they intend to reach,” said Chizondo.

    The Zvishavane-based side begin their African safari campaign in Kenya after they were drawn with Sofapaka FC in the preliminary round.

    \n

    The first leg will kick off away in Nairobi during the weekend of February 13-15, while the 2nd leg is scheduled for Zvishavane two weeks later.
