Tsvangirai went with all his six children. He travelled to South Africa at the invitation of the South African President Kgalema Motlanthe.
Just a day after the horrific accident which claimed his wife Tsvangirai also travelled to Botswana to receive proper treatment and rest.
His spokesman James Maridadi confirmed that he had travelled to SA with the rest of his family.
"He left in the morning with the rest of his family for South Africa to rest," said Maridadi.
Tsvangirai’s family appealed to the media and MDC supporters at the funeral wake of the passing on of Susan Tsvangirai last week that it will need time to mourn their mother and allow their father to fully recuperate before resuming his duties as leader of the government. Tsvangirai"s eldest son Edwin said the family would need some quite time away from the public glare.
