British Embassy Moves Offices
Harare – The British Embassy in Harare will at the end of the month move into new spacious offices in Harare from the City Centre. The new offices will be in the surbub of Mount Pleasant.
The new office block which was constructed by Murray and Roberts, will become the embassy’s new home probably signalling the return of consular services to the country.
Many Zimbabweans intending to travel to the United Kingdom had been applying for visas through the British Embassy in Pretoria.
The British Embassy announced at the weekend that it will close for business from March 27 to March 30 to allow for the cross over to the new state of the art building.
“The British Embassy and Department for International Development (DFID) will be closed on the following days, Fr day March 27 2009 and Monday 30 March 2009. They will re-open on Tuesday 31 March 2009,“ said a statement.
The embassy will move from their offices in the city centre at Corner House to the new premises located at number 864 Norfolk Road in the plush suburb of Mount Pleasant
