Harare water in temporary shutdown

The Harare City Council will shut down Morton Jaffray waterworks next week for three days as part of the rehabilitation of the treatment plant.\r\n\r\nHarare City Principal Communications Officer, Michael Chideme revealed that the shutdown will be from the 9th to the 12th as the city moves to rehabilitate the Morton Jaffray plant.\r\n\r\n“Unfortunately the shutdown will affect all suburbs in the city but the bigger picture is that we expect the rehabilitation exercise to increase the amount of hours households receive water,” he said.\r\n\r\nThe maintenance exercise will see the installation of new pipes that will improve output at household level.
