Robert Mugabe is back in Zimbabwe
Harare – The embattled Zanu PF strongman Robert Mugabe has returned home from a short shopping holiday in the Far East and Russia, the state-controlled Herald reported on Monday.
The newspaper cited presidential spokesperson and secretary for Information and Publicity George Charamba saying though Mugabe arrived in Zimbabwe on Saturday, "he was still on leave".
Until the president’s return, Vice President Joseph Msika was in charge of the country.
However, Vice President Joice Mujuru is now the acting president with effect from Saturday, the Herald said.
