According to his spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka, the MDC leader, who is on a diplomatic offensive, met Guebuza to update him on what the principals have implemented or not implemented so far.
“The Prime Minister met the Mozambican President today (yesterday) in the morning briefing him on developments in Zimbabwe. He also gave the President an update on the constitutional issues and other key reforms,” said Luke Tamborinyoka.
Security sector and electoral reforms have been major areas of clashes among the three parties in the coalition government.
The two MDC formations have been calling for security sector realignment and a conducive environment that permits democratic elections.
Tamborinyoka said the Premier will today meet Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete to enlighten him on the same issues ahead of a crucial Sadc meeting.
“He (Tsvangirai) is now in Dar-es-Salaam as he is scheduled to meet the President Kikwete for the same reason,” he said.
The Sadc meeting will be held on August 17 and 18 in Maputo to discuss regional integration particularly progress made so far in social, cultural, political and economic sectors.
Other issues include the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the political crisis in Madagascar as well as progress made by the power-sharing government in Zimbabwe. – Daily News
