Police name body in bag murder suspect found dead in woods

A MURDER suspect from Coventry who killed himself in Kent has been named as Jasper Taruvinga.\r\n

His body was found in woods near Gillingham on Wednesday morning, four days after his girlfriend was murdered in Dublin.

\r\n

Police in Ireland say Taruvinga, originally from Zimbabwe, was the prime suspect in the killing of Rudo Mawere, 26, on Saturday night.

\r\n

She had been strangled and her body stuffed into a holdall which was dumped on a pavement.

\r\n

It is understood the pair had been romantically linked for three months and attended church together in Dublin.

\r\n

Van driver Taruvinga, who also used the name Jason Dube, lived at a house in Whitworth Avenue, Stoke Aldermoor, until moving to Ireland a year ago.

\r\n

He had previously lived in St Catherine’s Close on the same estate and is also believed to have once had a home in Nuneaton.

\r\n

Garda have yet to reveal a motive for the killing, but reports have suggested the pair had an argument on Saturday because he was using her bank card.
