Zimbabwean 11 year old footballer snapped by British club

BRADFORD – CHAMPIONSHIP side Barnsley have signed a skilful new player — and his name’s TALENT. Eleven-year-old Talent Ndlovu was spotted by club scouts who snapped him up after one training session.

Dad Nqobile heard the name when he was younger and vowed to give it to his son.

The Zimbabwean-born youngster and his family had only been in England for three months when he was snapped up at an after-school football club.

Proud dad Nqobile, 42, a nurse of Bradford, West Yorks, said: “It’s strange, he was given this name and now he seems to be full of talent. It means the same in our language as it does in English, being gifted.

“But I always tell him that talent doesn’t come easily and you have to keep practising.”
